I’m Ron Wolforth.
What I got from this was several things, but we do a lot
of copywriting before and I’ve had some success,
but the first thing that I got from this is that if you
can increase your sales from 1 percent to 2 percent that
may be the difference between becoming wealthy –
personally wealthy and not – just 1 percent makes
that difference. So the money spent on something like
that is just an investment in your future.
Couple things that I picked up. I got so caught up in
the copy what I learned – first thing I learned,
25 percent is the market. Course, I kinda knew that. Twenty-five
percent was the copy and the 50 percent was the cosmetics;
how it fit, how it works. That I didn’t have before.
The cosmetics were huge. Getting it read, another big
issue for me because what we were about to do with the
biggest piece of our lives was to probably alienate or
tick off 65 percent of the people who are gonna read it,
which is never good. What I learned was the big ah ha
for us was that we had to approach it a different way
and we approached it from a very human aspect of human
nature is that I work really hard, I’ve been doing
all I can, I’m not getting the results I really
want, and it’s not my fault and there’s somebody
now that can help me with an ah ha moment because we’re
about ready to send out to 32,000 people, and before we
were sending out to four, five, 6,000 people and now –
and so then also the ticket item was not $259.00, it’s
$4,000.00. So if you just do the math of 1 percent or
2 percent of 32,000, that’s pretty good.

I’m Stephen
Roulac. In terms of the payoffs from this, I’d say
several. One, really raising the bar of expectations in
terms of all the different elements and pieces and parts
of what a really phenomenal sales letter involves, and
how much extraordinary work is involved to get there,
and I would say probably like most people in the room,
I thought I had some pretty good letters before I came
here.
As I mentioned to my wife yesterday talking to her, great
news, I can really make our letters much better, and the
bad news I have a lot more work to do. And now I know
the path and pieces there and I’d say one of the
payoffs of putting the entire package together in terms
of story, plot line, items, you know, voice, and style
especially really key, integrating emotion, graphics,
and logic in terms of the whole sales letter, particularly
the kinds of things I’m working on, and especially
packaging to get the message to the people you want to
get it to and have it read in terms of the economic logic
of how much one can justify spending on the whole thing
given the potential payoff you have. I’m coming
away with confidence I should get at least a hundred to
one payoff, if not a thousand to one, and I suspect others
in the room are gonna have similar kind of economic results.

My name’s Jill
Wolforth. We’re actually from Houston, Texas. For
me, one of the things that we state to our people all
the time – and one of the problems is maybe sometimes
you don’t listen to yourself – is that you
need to work smarter, not harder, and that’s huge.
That’s probably the biggest thing that I’ve
gained from this, is I’m gonna be able to go home
and work smarter, which means faster, more effectively,
more efficiently. Smarter, not harder. That’s absolutely
huge. Also, the concept of working with forgiving economics.
Making sure that the numbers are going to work before
you even take that first step.

This is Shawn Casey.
The most important thing I got out of this and - and Ron
I think hit it right on the head - was just the ability
to - to shorten the curve of blowing out the copy and
getting stuff done especially in a lot of cases for me
in writing short email promos and other things and stuff
where I need quick storylines. As opposed to you know
lengthy eight or 16 or 32 page letters it’s - it’s
that shortcut of you know storylines, specific plotlines,
those kind of things that I can just go and say okay I’m
doing one of these bam, bam, bam, bam, bam. It’s
- it’s out, it’s close enough and - and -
and here we go. I thought a - a couple of other things
that - that particularly struck me was ignoring the facts.
Being a lawyer you know I don’t have quite as much
a handicap as Steven with 47 degrees but I’m closing
in on him. And - and I have constantly have to fight this.
I want to use logic and reasoning which needs to be about
one paragraph out of eight pages and stay with emotion
and - and that comes back to my ignore the facts line
I used the other day which is you know just come back
to what it is the people are actually trying to buy, tell
them that I’m selling them what they want to buy
and then give them what they’re supposed to get
anyway in the package and - and - and worry about that
later. And the other thing that I thought was the neatest
trick in here perhaps in terms of making money may be
the payment thing that you happened to mention the other
day where you know we can - we can have the regular level
at - at 299 for three months and the premium level at
249 for seven months and guys are looking at payment just
like they do with cars and paying you whopping amounts
more money without even thinking about it. **** the most
I’ve take at any seminar probably been at truly
and certainly probably the most I’ve taken since
I went to law school.

I'm Raja Hiriker.
I knew a little about writing copy before I came here,
but having the stuff taken apart, and ripped and shredded
and then put back together was something I wouldn't have
been able to do by myself or I wouldn't have trusted anyone
to do that for me anyway. Picking up the technical aspects
of it was unbelievable. And also what I've realized, what
Dan was saying, the copy is probably not the most important
thing, it's the story and the strategy and the cosmetics
and everything around it that's important as well. So,
I had seen in Dan's newsletter about this workshop and
there was only two spaces left, so I didn't see the promotion
that went for this and then so I called Dan, or Pete,
and then he told me that send some stuff. Dan had a look
at it and then I told my wife that I'm going to be spending
$12,000.00 to come here. And sure. Like her eyes were
"What?" You know $12,000.00. But then she said
go do it you know because you've got all this stuff so
why not go meet the man and see what he's going to teach
you. So it was then, after that, there was no hesitation
or nothing. It was just like booking the hotel and the
flight and then coming here. So, $15,000.00 altogether

Next Speaker: The total is about 12 hours from London.
So yeah, I'm happy to be here. It's the best money I've
ever spent. And if I didn't spend it you know, I would
have fluffed around. I would have fluffed around really.
I would have gone from seminar to seminar, person to person
really and I came to the person who knows you know everything.
So to me that's been the best.

Paul Serby, I’m
the dentist – a dentist here and yeah, I'm the one
that – that came late and – and am leaving
early and I still – I still took 18 pages of notes.
**** ideas I got here. I had the logic and the, you know,
a lot of the reasons why a sales letter that will basically
generate an entire new business for me, but I didn't have
an emotional hook to it or – or basically the emotional
open and close, and just listening to one of the other
guys work on their problem, I'm real good at what I do,
but I should be doing better. To add to the logic I've,
you know, we've gotten all the rest of the work done so
that's – that's a huge – a huge deal for me,
and as an aside I think I've taken more notes and gotten
so many more good ideas at this one, but this one in –
in good business ideas as well as copyrighting here. It's
not – this hasn't just been copyrighting in and
of itself. It's – It's entire, you know, building
entire businesses and using the copyrighting to position
it and then sell it.
